The PeepHole Viewer uses an LCD panel to
display who is at your door without alerting them to your presence.
The PeepHole Viewer turns a hard to see peep hole image into a big bright image.
Simply push the button to see a large image of the person outside your door.
The image is easy to see for people of any height
and is similar to that on the display of a digital camera.
The viewer compensates for low-light images
and eliminates 'fish eye' distortion.
A second press of the button provides a zoomed image,
which enlarges the center of the image for viewing facial details.
Repeated presses toggle between regular and zoom modes.
There's someone at the door. If you have a typical peephole in your door,
you get a distorted image like a funhouse mirror, which is no fun at all.
The Peep Hole View changes all that.
It gives you an LCD panel that displays who is at your door.
Simply push the button and see a large, clear 2.5in. image
(similar to a digital camera display) of the person outside your door.
The viewer works in low light and eliminates "fish eye" distortion.
Press the button a second time and get a zoom image that enlarges
the center of the image for a closer look.
It also turns off automatically after 10 seconds to preserve battery life.
Replaces existing peepholes in doors 1 3/8in. to 2 1/4in. thick.
Uses 2 - AA batteries.
Why the Digital Peephole Viewer?
- The most basic home security is the front door.
This is the primary entry point in the home,
and the method to indentify who is there has not changed in many years.
- Ask who is there and wait for a verbal response
-This is only useful if you know the person and recognize the voice
- The optical peephole has been around for over 40 years
and is the best option to actually see who is at the door.
-The image quality is poor
-In low light the image may not be easy to identify
-The user must place an eye to the door thus darkening the
peephole and signaling he is home
-The height is not right for all people
- The PeepHole Viewer is the digital equivalent
of the optical peephole with some major benefits
-Simple push button to see large image without darkening the peephole
-Clear image in LCD Panel on door, easy to see for people of any height
-Compensation for low light images
-Compensation for “fish eye” distortion
- Press the Power button under the LCD panel
to turn on the viewer and see clearly who’s at the door. - The first push of the Power button will put the
PeepHole Viewer into “Regular” view mode. - If the button is pressed a second time while the viewer is still on,
the display will go into “Zoomed View”. - Repeated pressing of the button causes the viewer to
rotate between the two viewing modes: “Regular” and “Zoom”. - The viewer will turn off automatically after 10 seconds to conserve battery life.
Any press of the button will restart the timer for 10 seconds.
Display modes
-“Regular” Regular display mode shows a
field of view similar to that of a digital camera.
-“Zoom” Zoom display mode enlarges
the center of the PeepHole field of view for viewing facial details.
Low Battery
-When the batteries are low, the Red Low Battery Light will flash.
Note
The Peephole Viewer is designed to work
when attached to a peephole in a door.
The optical system is finely tuned to the peephole optics.
If you attempt to use it without it being installed the images will be dark and blurry.

I’m sure that most of you have received
a knock at the door
from an uninvited
guest, and you looked through the
peephole to see who it is.
What you usually see is some person with
an overly-sized head.
Now are you going
to let that person in?
At
least with the Digital Peephole Viewer,
you actually get to see what the person
looks like.
This device is designed to fit in an
ordinary
peephole without any external
Camera or fancy wiring.
However, it might be worth it just to
get a clearer view of who’s at the door.
Just between you and me, I probably
wouldn’t let the guy in the Photo in.
He looks like some salesman or a
purveyor of a religion that I don’t
want.
As for
operation, it is as simple as pushing a
button
and pushing it again for a
zoom-in shot.
It
requires AA batteries for operation,
which will be good for about 2,000
views.
